AlterG Treadmill

What Is It?

“The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill combines precision unweighting technology with gait analytics and video feedback. Nothing else offers as much precision, accuracy and comfort than AlterG”

How Does It Work?

This anti-gravity treadmill can take up to 80% of your bodyweight off, leaving you feeling practically weightless and able to do more than ever before. Walking, running, lower body exercises, and plyometrics are just some of the things you can do in the AlterG - all without having to worry about pain or injury.

In this video: Our client Joe is running at only 50% bodyweight with one knee replacement and a torn hamstring. He is a former triathlete and runner and this is his first time running in 15 years since his knee replacement

Who Can Use It?

Short answer: Anyone

This unique piece of equipment allows our clients to change the amount of weight, stress and impact on their joints with a push of a button. Combining the science of the equipment we can take our clients down to only 20% of their body weight. Meaning, if you weigh 200 lbs we can make it so you feel like 40 lbs!

  • Rehab: This is great if you are coming fresh off a surgery or injury and your doctor only wants you at a certain weight bearing status. If you are allowed to walk at 50% of your body weight due to a recent knee injury we can control that while allowing recovery, proper body mechanics and blood flow to help the healing process.

  • Weight Loss: If running or fast paced walking is limited due to your current weight but you have a weight loss goal we can simply place you inside the anti-gravity treadmill and change to a weight you can tolerate. This will help keep stress off the body while allowing your metabolism, stamina and calorie burn to increase.

  • Runners/Athletes: Preparing for a big event such as marathon, triathlon or IronMan competition? This requires a high training volume that may beat down your hips, knees, ankles and feet. The amount of workload may increase your chance of injury and offset your training schedule. Doing 1-2 days a week on our anti-gravity treadmill will be great as we can reduce your body weight to allow your cardio to continue while gibing your body the recover it needs simultaneously.
